Authorized Transmission Remanufacturing, Inc (ATR) was created to be the world class remanufacturer of fleet transmissions. Our target market is very focused, were driven to meet the needs of our customers. We are the leader in Allison^® and Light Duty transmission remanufacturing in the fleet industry. ATR has vast years of experience in transmission remanufacturing, adheres to strict remanufacturing procedures and has the most sophisticated testing/remanufacturing equipment in the industry.

ATR is not "Everything to Everyone"! ATR does not sell cheap poor quality transmissions just to compete in a market place. ATR focuses on being the premium quality remanufactured transmissions in the industry. Fleets, Dealers, and Distributors want the best possible product in the market! Our business is strictly fleets, whether sold direct or through dealers and distributors.

ATR's president has over 30 years of remanufacturing experience in both light duty and Allison transmissions^®. He founded and operated one of the largest transmission remanufacturing plants in the country. He has now taken that experience and knowledge to put together a world class company focused strictly on Fleets with Heavy Duty Allison^® and light duty transmission needs.

ATR has the very latest computer controlled data acquisition test equipment such as dyno testers, valve body machines and electrical test equipment. Our procedures begin by assuring that every transmission is thoroughly cleaned and inspected. To insure that our customers receive the highest quality product; ATR has invested in the latest and greatest equipment to produce for you a premium product. Our equipment includes state of the art wash cabinets, rinse machines, and media blasters that bring the transmission back to a "like new" aluminum finish.

All this technology and equipment is only the beginning. Our customer service and account management is what sets us apart! Our customer service and technical staff is experienced and very knowledgeable about our product lines. Real answers when you need them. Account management is handled by the actual owners of the company to give you the personal care and assurance you deserve!

ATR'S MANAGEMENT TEAM

Our President/CEO

Rich Kuempel

ATR's president has over 30 years of experience in both the aftermarket and O.E. transmission remanufacturing industry.

His accomplishments include leading a transmission remanufacturer to win two Frost & Sullivan awards, has led a remanufacturer through the completion of an ISO 9001:2000 certification, and has been recognized as an industry leader for both his technical and quality skills for both the Allison and Light-Duty transmissions.

As the former founder and CEO of a high volume transmission remanufacturer; our president was elected the first chairman ever for APRA's (Automotive Parts Rebuilders Association) volume transmission rebuilders division , which he held for 4 years.

Our president was also the Co-founder of Sonnax's TASC Force, a group of the industry's best technicians developing "updates" for transmissions sold through Sonnax Industries.

Our president was also the Co-founder of TCRA (Torque Converter Rebuilders Association). This group helped to develop remanufacturing standards for the torque converter remanufacturing industry.

Our president is very active in many industry associations that benefit the industry and customers. He is a pioneer in the exchange transmission business.

During his 30 years of experience in the industry, multiple awards, and involvement in the remanufacturing industry. It's no surprise that this highly motivated and driven individual took a $2,000 investment working from a 2-bay garage, and grew it to become one of the largest remanufacturers in the transmission industry.

Deanna Kuempel

This driven leader manages many key functions of ATR's day to day operations - from insuring ATR's customers are provided with professional account management to being involved in many of ATR's business decisions. She has vast years of business experience to provide solutions to customers' needs. She also provides much of ATR's company vision and direction. This individual is key to ATR's success.

Gilbert Sanchez

He is an experienced leader in providing the best in customer service and technical support to ATR's customers. His background is very diverse - from IT experience to product development. He is key in developing automated systems, online ordering for our customers, reporting, inventory management. and transmission technical experience. ATR is very focused on customer satisfaction and this individual's hard work and dedication insures that this goal is met.

International Organization for Standards (ISO) is an elite 100 member organization. Its objective is to provide the development of worldwide standards for the improvement of operating procedures, efficiency, productivity, and reducing costs.

ISO 9001:2008 applies to all types of organizations. It doesn't matter what size they are or what they do. It can help both product and service oriented organizations achieve standards of quality that are recognized and respected throughout the world.

Why is ISO important?

• Focus on processes. The ISO 9001:2008 standard is based on a typical business process approach ensures that the relationships between requirements and elements are visible.
